Graphic Design
Services include: Logo design/redesign, brochures, direct mail postcards, posters, greeting/thank you cards and invitations. After the initial consultation, you will be presented with 2 - 5 choices of design options. Graphic design services are billed at an hourly rate, starting at $40.00/hr., depending on the complexity of the project. Most projects can be completed in 1 - 10 hours. You will have the option of working directly with your own printer, or we can handle the printing for you. We work with commercial print shops that specialize in short runs. If you elect to have us handle the printing, payment for printing services is due upon receipt of approved proof. You can view samples of our graphic design work here. |
Commercial Photography
When you need to present your products in print or on line, you need the expertise of a professional commercial photographer. Our commercial photography services range from food, apparel, jewelry, furniture, interior design, remodeling and decorative services to industrial sales and more. Photography can take place in our studio (table top photography for products), or on location. Location services are limited to a 25 mile radius of our studio in Algonquin, Il. Studio photography services are billed at $175.00/hr with a 2 hour minimum, location work is billed at $225.00/hr. with a 2 hour minimum. View samples of our commercial photography work here. |
Website Design, Development & Maintenance
Sheer Images Design offers website design, development and maintenance plans for small businesses. All of our websites are custom designed for our individual clients. We do not use templates! We design websites to load quickly, with images that that are sharp and expertly sized for optimal on line viewing. We are Photoshop experts. |
| A successful website is one that is easily found through the use of search engines, is visually appealing, and provides the visitor with the essential information about your business in a consistent, concise, and compelling manner. We incorporate the following elements into each website we design: |
- Your Domain Name - You may use the name of your company as your domain name (the domain name is what follows the www) or you may want to use a word or words that summarize your service or product. Sometimes, it is advantageous to utilize both options and have 2 domain names. The importance of choosing a domain name cannot be stressed enough. It can make the difference between a high search engine ranking and a low one.
- Your Navigation System - This refers to the names of your site's pages. The names (categories) of your pages should be relevant to your business and be easy to find. Each page of your site should not be more than 1 or 2 clicks away from any other page. If visitors cannot figure out how to find the information they are seeking, they will go elsewhere.
- Text - The information on each of your pages should be relevant, clear, easy to understand and concise. As with graphics, there is balance that must be maintained. Text is also an important component of search engine placement.
- Graphics - Well-chosen images are essential to the visual appeal of any website. They are also invaluable when it comes to selling your product or service. Remember, a website is visual advertising. However, too many images, or images that are of poor quality can detract from your message. In addition, if your graphics and images do not load quickly, your visitors will go elsewhere.

Pricing for website design or redesign is based upon the individual needs of each client. Basic website design includes: |

If you already have a website, Sheer Images Design can provide maintenance services for $150.00/quarter, pre-billed quarterly. We also offer search engine optimization services (SEO) for existing websites. This can include coding or re-coding your site for search engines, editing the content (text) of your site, as well as changing the titles of your existing pages, and search engine submissions. The fee for this service is $600.00 and is due prior to work commencing on your site. This fee will be applied toward 1 year of maintenance for your website. There is no charge to have us look at and evaluate your site. |
